A/N: Randomly, (not that anyone cares) Ella was named after my brother's girlfriend's cat, who is totally gorgeous. (both the girlfriend and the cat.) Also, gotta say, this challenge is totally fun and others should try it if they feel the urge.

Okay, in my deep frustration in not getting blindingly stellar marks in my Creative Writing for Stage paper I've been thinking about the flaws in my writing skill. I have two main problems:

Subtlety is not my middle name. Or even the middle name of my long-lost pirate cousins off the coast of Conrwall.

I can't write short stories. Seriously, SO HARD. Especially when it's not fanfic. So, this week (I have a week off uni now) I am attempting to write one short story a day, aiming for around 400 words. I'm going to attempt to have at least a couple as original fic. But this one wanted to be Spn so! Here! My first ever finished Spn fic!

Yo all. I continue to be seized by crazy writing fervour. Still not really focussing on the things I want it to, but this popped out last night.

Summary: Dawn reflects on friendships.
Stuff: PG. (I know! WTF?) Dawn POV. Post Season Seven. Ignoring Season 8. Also ignoring Angel canon for the most part (Can we set up a new genre? CWC - canon? what canon?).
A/N: Well, this was actually not what I was planning to write, this was the bit to explain the bit that I wanted to write. Which I didn't get to, coz this part grew. Anyway, I don't know if this is a standalone or if it's going to be part of a mini-series of shorts, but I don't plan on making another proper series, so even if I write more, they will be chunks designed to be read and finished in one go, not chapters, (if that makes any sense...).

Also, although I haven't written anything in this fandom before, I do feel somewhat qualified to do so (for a change) because I have loved Buffy for years. Although I will say that I've only seen the seasons 1-5 once or possibly twice each, so a lot of that information is pretty vague in my head, so sorry if I somehow manage to pull in something incorrect. Part of this is exploring a little the concept of how Dawn was inserted into past events, so obviously that will be a bit contradictory, too.

Hey all! Long time no-post!

Um, well, to keep this short, uni is kicking my ass, work is kicking my ass, and now I'm sick. Needless to say there has been very little progress on the chapter. Oh, well, other that to decide (rightly) that half of the chapter is totally off and I need to do some serious re-writing. All and all not a lot of forward-progress is being made. Right now I am too sick and tired to concentrate properly on anything much (and yes, that _does_ include fanfiction, (of the reading sort), and anime) but I have been sideways inspired to do some sideways work on my sideways project.

Thus, have a Mine update for you. Working on another, too, but I thought I'd post this one before the sickkie-attacks overwhelm me.

A/N: Part of the reason I'm actually blathering on here is that I wanted to tell the readers that there is going to be a teeny tiny change to this series. From now on there will be one of three titles attached at to each drabble as we go along, simply to give some semblance of coherency. Mixed-time drabble series' are confusing enough when written well and I don't think I would apply that descriptor to this collection of brain explosions. Anyway, all drabbles will have one of these titles: 'Fear', 'Pain', & 'Pandora'* applied. (This includes all previous entries!) These titles are to help the reader put things into context in terms of a veeeery general timeline. I'm sure you'll pick it up fairly easily. I don't know if these will actually help, or if they're completely unnecessary or whatever, but we'll just have to see.

*I just feel I should say that I am a pleb when it comes to mythology but I wanted to use this word anyway because of what the word makes me think of. Hopefully I'm not so off the beaten track that it makes no sense to everyone else!
