Whoops! Sorry, forgot to post this like I said I would. :/ DMT_04 is allllmost finished so that should appear in the next couple of weeks. (I hope... Fuck, I'm so bad at updating, sorry. ;_; ) Anyway, this was for mimei's christmas present. It's a Luna Sea (Japanese band) AU slash fic so um, if you aren't fammiliar with them, don't ask me about them because I don't really know much, I just pretend I do so that I can write stuff that will make my mimei smile.

Setting: Slightly AU at some point while Luna Sea is still together.

Okay so, I had his pop into my head, sortof, trying to squeeze its way into one of my current WIPs. I thought about it for about 40 minutes, (two albums, one orange, a load of washing and a desk tidy), and just couldn't figure out how I could incorporate it without compromising the legitimacy of the current stories. However, the story didn't want to go away so I decided to keep it - as a series of unconnected drabbles (i.e. back and forward in time) and (possibly) chapters that would eventually create a full story. The reason I don't want it to be done with normal chapters and story-flow is that I really don't have time to put into another full story, and I think I will enjoy the occasional edge of this story on my consciousness without it demanding total domination of my thoughts. Hopefully it will work!

Anyway, here's the first drabble in the series, I hope you like.

Just for the final record, I started writing this chapter on the 4th of May, it has taken me six months, seven re-writes, and a partridge in a pear tree to bring it to completion. Okay, so after much angst on my part, here be the next chapter of Dry My Tears. I usually finish a chapter then let it sit for a week before I do a final edit because I usually spot more things I want to change, but I'm a bit desperate to get this out of the way so, here it is. I'm not entirely happy with this (it's a bit longer and more explainy than I wanted it to be), but I couldn't really do much about it at this point. So yeah, tell me what you think.

I started chapter seven the other day and have done some editing of Ch6 so I feel like it's sort-of okay to post this. Author Notes: Okay well, here is another one of these.... things... I seem to not be able to get out of my head. (Don’t blame me, it was the bunnies!)

It was really supposed to be PWP but one chapter didn’t satisfy the bunnies, so goodness knows what’s going to happen to it now. (I sure as hell don’t. EDIT as of June, 2008: just so first-time readers aren't put off by this, I'm still going with this story but I definitely know where I'm going with it now. XD Don't panic!)

Okay so, we’re following the cannon till Goblet of Fire here too, (OotP just explains too darn much!) So no dead whosits, and no prophesy. Cannon till Incubus Dreams of AB too. However I am stealing one or two bits like the explanation of how being with the Dursleys protects Harry, and that he is under surveillance at all times, (as is explained at the beginning of OotP). And maybe some characters too, if I feel like it.

So basically, this is me just trying to get the bunnies out of my head, so I am doing whatever the hell I want, sorry if this confuses anyone, if you want something a little more structured, go read Burn to Shine.

Oh, and Voldemort is a vampire. Why? ...Well, if you have to ask yourself that question, then you probably won’t like this fic.

Right so, the last week has been an exercise in me never doing what I was supposed to.

Monday, I was supposed to be working on chapter five, so, instead I was RANDOMLY excessively inspired to work on a vamp!Voldemort/Harry fic and spent ages on that. (Don't squick about it until you've read good Voldemort/Harry, I've only ever come across one really decent one, and before then I was totally grossed out at the thought, I have since changed my ways. ...Or, you know, you can squick if you really want to; I wont stop you...)

Tuesday, I slept lots, then the previous continued.

Wednesday, I was supposed to be working on a fic for KRM's birthday. I went crazy with writing chapter five. THEN got further distracted (I blame mimei) and wrote and entire short-fic due to her challenge over a really cute pic of J and Inoran from the Japanese rock band Luna Sea. -_-;;

Thursday, I NEEDED to start work on KRM's present fic, instead, I finished (and edited) the first half of chapter Five. ;_;

All in all, I've written 4,203 words worth of stuff this week and 2,603 of those were COMPLETE DISTRACTIONS!

So yeah, gotta start on KRM's gift. ;_;
