Buffy IS a most ridiculous name! It makes me think of one of those huge, white fluffy cats with squished-in faces.
Oh, missed the 'he said' brain's been on the fritz today. *changes*
I don't usually do first-person, but a lot of the stuff I'm producing at the moment seems to be leaning towards it, but it's all pretty experimental at the moment so I guess I hope practice makes perfect. Each of the scenes describe an actual canon-moment, Xander in season 6 has a big chat with Dawn about being one of the not-special people, it's a big turning point for her, in my opinion. Tara's first real conversation with Dawn was the one I was describing, when Tara comforted Dawn over ... something I can't remember cause I've only seen that episode twice. The last was based on an episode when evil!spike visits Joyce because Buffy had brought him around to the house once before when Spike and Buffy were allied, (over killing Angel or something, I think) but Joyce didn't know that Spike was a baddie again. Spike was just doing it to be perverse and freak Buffy out. I think it was in season 3ish, but I wasn't sure so I couldn't find the exact episode in a guide without it taking too long, but Dawn would have been somewhere between 10 and 12, so I tried to write her a bit more childish than she is in season 5. I'm glad Spike came through okay, the characters for Buffy are quite hard to get the voices right in writing, (and it _shows_ in fanfic) so I hoped they wouldn't be too off.
