Voldemort is really going in for the psychological manipulation on this one, and Harry is too innocent and vulnerable to really protect himself, (in my opinion). He's always needed someone to protect him and take care of him, and while Dumbledore sortof filled this role, I think Harry has never really got over the fact that Dumbledore put Harry's place in the war before Harry's own personal well-being. That lack of trust just leaves him perfectly open to slivers of doubt and eeeeevil sneaking in.

Which I could only be too happy about. *grins*
