More fanfic rambilings, cut for your benifit.

Life is going along, as it does, back in CHCH now, got stuff due Thursday night which is going to be interesting, plus work Friday for the first time in 3 weeks, I'll probably be as weak as hell and slow to the boot, yay for holidays, huh?

Because I'm likely to be ranting about this a lot over the next few weeks, and anyone not interested might not want to know, I'm going to put cuts in for the Fanfic rambilings, also beacause I can, and hey, code is fun, (unless you're mimei, and are going insane from studying too hard).



I’ve only just finished 5 pages of it, but I can already tell, if just from the flow of it, that this Fanfic is probably going to be ridiculously monstrous (in size). Unless my brain craps out half way through and I just write: “...and then they all died. The end” like I used to when I was five and the teacher said writing time was over.

Chapter one is BORING (well, it just seems that way to me coz it has no smex), it isn’t really, but I have decided to add a prologue to catch the interest of the reader a little earlier so that we can live through 5 pages of divination class. (don’t worry, it’ll all work out!) But this means that I now have to _write_ the prologue, _before_ I can post chapter one, which the rough draft is almost finished of now by the way! I’ve just sent it off to my beta for a quick ‘am I heading in the right direction here?’ review, then we’ll edit properly.

But yes, prologue must be done now as well, luckily it won’t be long, just involving some maniacal laughter and some vague threats, I could almost just write:

Prologue: “There was some maniacal laughter, and some vague threats made” end prologue.

But that just wouldn’t be as fun :D

More updates coming soon I hope! Thinking to have prologue and Ch-1 up maybe by the end of the month at the latest(???) I’m terrible with time though, so you never know really. Keep y’all posted!

you know, although i've probably read every yuugiou (Yu Gi Oh!) fanfic in existence (just...don't ask DX), as well as a heck of a lot of gravitation, weiss kruez, jrock, linkin park (yip another DX) fanfic and i love the original harry potter books, i kinda avoided the hp fandom like the plague... <.<" so i've never read any hp fanfic. seriously! i think i got the idea that most of it is harryxdraco (is it? harry did seem extremely obsessive over him in the last book ^o^) which hmm didn't appeal? <.<" i'm not sure why. XD anyway, happy writing! end of month! end of month! *chants*

ahhhhg! NOOOO!

I _SO_ do not want to be the one to introduce you to HP fandom in my own work, I would be too nervous that you would just be like "this is total crap, this pairing could NEVER work." although it certainly would be a good challenge to see if I made it sound plausible, which I do intend on trying to do...

In terms of the general fandom, yes, there is a heap of Draco/Harry, I don't know that you could say _most_ of it is, but more that it is one of the most common pairings. I really can't believe the huge amount of other pairings there are in that fandom, it is just bizarre.

If you want to go into my fic cold without any other HP/DM fandom to 'broaden your mind' (lol) beforehand, I would certainly be interested in the challenge of hearing your oppinions, but the little fearful house-elf inside me says - Go over to www.restrictedsection.org. You have to register, which is a fast and 100% painless operation, (I assure you,) and then read anything by 'Beren' especially 'Gold Tinted Spectceles' mostly because the Corruption series isn't finished, and Angels and Devils is a little faster paced into the relationship. Also, Black Magic by Moonlight is an Anita Blake crossover, which is really a whole different ballgame.

But in the end, do whatever you want, you don't even have to read my fic if you would be squiked by it, my original fic is still in the works, but the HP fic is more likely to be finished sooner.

^^ the thing is, i've read so much fanfic of so many different shows/bands/people/books that i don't think anything could surprise me XD
i think i could easily get obsessed with it (as i can get obsessive about everything one can get obsessed about v.v") but i have exams in two weeks and i haven't started studying yet ._. so either i'll check that site out after exams, or read yours first! :D

Well good, that gives me a little breathing room (that you've read so much fanfiction). and yes, I used to be soooooooooooooooooooooo condesending of fanfiction, and now I'm totally and crazilly obsessed, it's really sad.
