well there are times in all their fics when you lose sight of the plot. WYWM took about 20 chapters, and it had some crushing cliches, like Lucian's amnesia. i mean cringexcore. the reason people don't like cb as much is because they didn't do the necessary research but although they probably should have, it would have been more than most authors bother with to've done so. furthermore, their books are people-driven and at the very least they offer something no other american author can - a panoramic view of the human condition presented in an unbiased fashion across the board - they use 'good' and 'evil' as a starting point for challenging such categories...
the truth is, they're better than a lot of published fiction, and they publish online at their peril - technically it is prepublishing, which means that potentially they'll never make a cent out of it. an audience of 500 is more than some published authors would get.
they have every right to ban someone who flames them. flaming isn't normal - it's someone getting pissed off and taking it out on the nearest thing. it's unchecked anger. hardly civil. i read fics that are so terrible i honestly can't tell anymore if the author's first language is english. it's just so mangled i assume it isn't. but these are at least encouraging environments, and no one is putting themselves on the line for fanfiction. it's illogical to allow such an environment to ensue when you're putting your intellectual property up for grabs. especially if it's popular.
i just don't think that because someone puts something online it allows for people to have special license to be dicks to them. especially when it's not called for, especially in their personal space. especially in such an exhibitionistic fashion. they should be treated with more respect than published authors hiding behind 1st publishing rights, companies, sponsered journalists and copyrights. they're the ones who have something to lose.
regardless, i think if you want to discuss it, you should let them know, seeing as i'm not them .__. ...and nothing i said incited that, regardless of the fact i disagree with most of it.
for argument's sake (and no offense intended)
