Another non-poem

No! I have still not got anything done that I was supposed to!

(I did tidy my room today though...)

Note: Not caused by anyone specific.. or at least.. not anyone since primary school, just spawned by general angst and the weird workings of Page's mind. :)

Friendship

You push me, you pull me,

You burn me, you tear me.

Push me, pull me,

Love me, hurt me.

Build me up – so high!

I think I can reach --!

Shatter my foundations with a glance

A word - a silence.

Carefully, quietly, I construct you a gift.

Made of secret things, fairy wings,

Hopes, dreams and memories,

I will bend a special smile, just for you,

Hiccup air, catch it inside, release gladly – the joy of seeing you, hearing you, touching you,

Woven in for you.

The moment I first saw you,

The moment I first loved you,

The moment we looked, eyes, plus eyes, and laughed in true understanding.

I will take a fear I showed you, hide it in a corner.

Borrow some past I shared with you, (shading contrast).

Steal a worry I felt for you, (edging).

Then take a sliver- thin and long,

Pierce the centre of me,

So deep in the soul of me,

Wrench it out of me,

Reverently,

A thread for your tapestry.

Now I have this gift for you,

Secret things and fairies’ wings.

It is my best gift,

The only thing worthy that I have to give you.

Just wait, please be—

crash.

I never see it coming.

Agony! Tears! Destruction!

I will crash for you.

Burn for you.

Cry for you.

Freeze. Bitter; heartless; broken,

Bleed for you.

Only for you,

Beloved Friend.
