Total awesome to the extreme!

Right now, I am writing this entry on my NEW COMPUTER! Oh my GOSH it is so exciting! I am making so many mistakes while typing due to the craziness of having a new keyboard to get used to!

So far windows vista hasn't been tooooooo annoying, but I do have a totally stupid amount of RAM and processing power (at least compared to my old baby, can you say, going from 256megabites of ram to 2 FUCKING GIGS plus 2.o gigahertz of processing speed???? MADNESS!). The glory of this is shown by the fact that currently I'm using firefox AND I'm uploading 4gigs of comics to my computer from disk at the same time a feat which my old baby would have just laughed at me if I'd tried to achieve. :/ Only down side so-far is that the image quality is slightly less than my old beasty but that's what you get for having cheap LCD. When I can afford it, I will get a new monitor... maybe...

Anyway, I think I'm getting sick or something... feel bloody rotten, but who cares?! I have a computer, and I think I'm going to spend a fair portion of the rest of the day playing with it and typing up some of all the fic I've been working on which I haven't been able to do on my computer in sooooo long. ^_^

(side note. Waaaaah, I have so many files to move over, it's going to take foreeeeeever. ;_;)

gah. but how did you choose colors? that's the part that's really gonna stump me >__<;;; i like the look of white, but scratches would show. i like the sound of coffee but it's probably kinda gross.....the black one with stripes looks nice but i can't decide.

i read on CNET about the speakers sucking. i think i will pay to upgrade them. i have external speakers but i'm a sound quality whore >.>;

oh, thank you for saying that. what i'm most worried about is it being able to handle PS & the massive HD .avis that i so can't live without... and also S-Video (hooking it up to the TV), because my current overheats and basically gives up after about 1hr. which it also does if i leave it on more'n 10 hours straight... i'm a total power user D:

Colours was pretty hard. Have you looked at the pictures under the 'learn more' button for that section? I don't know about the microsatin ones, but the picture of mine, (spring blossom) was pretty accurate. Which model are you leaning towards? Coz the stripy one is only available for the 1525. I kept swinging back between them and eventually was like AH, just pick one!

Wouldn't just using decent external speakers be cheaper? I'm obsessed with sounds quality, too. Working as a sound-tech screws with your brain. I really need new external speakers that have at least some base, so I was planning on giving my current ones to my brother along with the rest of my old computer but then I turned on some music and I didn't even get through one song before I was yanking my speakers out of my old computer. XD

Wow, you really push your computer, huh, ^_^. What does your current comp have? I have no idea about overheating issues, being a laptop noob.

yeah. My attacks of sickky-ness are making concentration hard, but you never know! Don't worry if you're feeling the listless-evils. Just enjoy the last few days of freedom. :)

Maybe but then you absolutely have to have them plugged in...which kinda detracts from the whole portability thing ^^ plus I buy cheap but good speakers and they break *current ones are almost gone*

mine has 1.4ghz. which does pretty well considering. oh and 40gb disk space LOL.

i wish there was too. wow, my capitalisation never ever lasts.

it has been pretty nice and relaxing today, really. i did laundry and synced my ipod. life is bearable :) *hugs ya*

I was definitely leaning towards red before the pink flowers ate me. I think red would age the best, style-wise. Hee! We'll have matching computers! They can talk and become friends!

This is very true. I don't listen to music as much as you so I guess it's a more immediate problem.

I've already filled up like, 30 gigs or something. I'm putting everything I've had hanging around on disks onto it, like music and anime and all the stuff you've sent me. Will you just go with the standard HD size? I did because I needed to cut costs and externals are just so stupidly cheap these days I can easily get one later, but other things would be harder to get after the fact.

The internet does not care for capitals, anyway. I sometimes feel like a FREAK. A FREEEEEAK! ...okay, I think all of this is starting to get to me. I need to clean my room or something non-computer related for a bit. ^_^

yay for bearable life. I guess? gah, I need to start checking my old computer for any hiding files then start the formatting. I just KNOW I'm going to loose something though. So scary!
