yeah, i realised they were canon ^^;;; i've watched most of Buffy, so^^ it's not so much that it was too childish (although it was in parts) just didn't quite strike me as Dawny! but you know what i'm like.

as for first person, that's what i write novels in, at least it's my inclination. the problem is that you have to use everything around the character to show what's really going on, b/c they rarely come out and say it...their personality & looks, especially are hard to get across so it can be a real challenge. and also their opinions of others vs. what the others are really like, b/c everything is clouded by how they see things.....yeah, so first person is pretty limiting, but i think it's a worthwhile perspective...it's easy for a reader to sink into 'i', and when you have third person it can be...floaty...it wants to hop around randomly, & third person subjective, focussed on just one character i think is just a cop out for people who don't like the idea of first. anyway, i'll stop rambling...
