Problems of distraction
I managed to hold out a WHOLE DAY without posting! Aren't I just the bee's knees!
Sorry, this entry is a bit SpazBo because I'm too tired to edit what I'm typing. I have to keep this short because my writing binge the other day, plus hefting around trays at work has bought my RSI/OOS back in my right wrist - and I want to be able to write tomorrow, so I pomised to rest it all day today.
In an attempt not to write I've been reading lots. Problem is I've been in the mood for Dark Fics. This is usually a BAD sign for me. Cheifly because I have a deep depth of love for dark fics, but a fine line of what is 'too dark' and I always want a happy ending (or relatively happy anyway), which is near-to impossible to find in a darkfic because, well, they're darkfics; they're _supposed_ to be unpleasant.
Anyway, the other problem being that I step out of my comfort zone by seeking non Harry/Draco darkfics. Why? Because the fandom world seems incapable of writing a H/D relationship with Draco as the top - and I'm sorry, but I just don't like dom Harry. In fact, I actively dislike dom Harry, especially in darkfic. (not to say that I haven't enjoyed the occasional dom Harry, I just really prefer him as a sub.) This means I enter the scary world of Other Pairings. And man, ANYTHING can happen in that place.
Anyway, I've been reading Harry/Lucius and Harry/Snape all day and my brain is a tad fried. I am growing scarily fond of these pairings these days. Somebody pray that I don't get inspired for another fic; I really, really don't need that right now. I've found some really AWESOME stories though. I really need to put a list of my recs somewhere.
Okay then... was this a totally pointless entry? Yes. Do I care? No. Right then, move along.
